Position Summary

Provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care including contraception, abortion and miscarriage management (medication and procedural), gender affirming hormone therapy, colposcopy and LEEP, general office gynecology, ultrasound, well‑person examinations, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted and other infections. Care is delivered in alignment with the Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY) Manual of Medical Standards and Guidelines (MS&Gs). The position may be full‑ or part‑time and will involve travel to health centers in the employee’s region. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative (5%)

– complete required trainings, attend didactics, obtain continuing education credits, participate in quality and risk management programs, promote customer satisfaction and equity, comply with ADA, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA and federal and state regulations, work effectively with staff, adhere to affiliate goals and professional standards, assist center staff in achieving productivity goals, stay up‑to‑date on emergency procedures, inform manager of incidents, perform other duties as required. Direct Clinical Care (90%)

– provide individualized care consistent with PPGNY MS&Gs, manage comprehensive outpatient sexual and reproductive services (medication and procedural abortion, miscarriage management, RIA, colposcopy and LEEP, gender affirming hormone therapy, STI screening/testing/treatment/prevention, contraception, menopause care, endometrial and vulvar biopsy, general office gynecology, ultrasound, well‑person care), order and interpret laboratory and radiologic tests, provide education and referral, ensure medical follow‑up, document in EHR, code and bill, consult regional or medical directors as needed, collaborate with team members, provide limited clinical consultation during operating hours and on call, participate in the overnight on‑call system (not in‑person on‑call duties). Training (5%)

– assist in training and orientation for newly hired clinicians and new skill development for staff clinicians, and assist in training and orientation for newly hired clinical support staff. Core Competencies

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical School. Graduate of a residency in Ob/Gyn or Family Medicine preferred; graduate of residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine may be considered. Minimum one year post‑residency experience preferred; PPGNY will train new staff as appropriate. Current active New York State license as a Physician, current active DEA license, current active BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred Qualifications

Two years of experience providing sexual and reproductive health care including abortion, colposcopy and LEEP, and gender affirming hormone therapy. Bilingual in Spanish. Benefits
