Job Description Join the heart of JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB), where strategic vision meets operational excellence. This dynamic space empowers senior leaders to drive business performance, shape financial strategy, and lead digital transformation across the firm.

As an Executive Director within the Central Planning and Analysis Team, you’ll collaborate with top stakeholders, manage critical financial deliverables, and influence decision‑making at the highest levels. This team is the engine behind budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis—delivering actionable insights that fuel growth and innovation in a fast‑paced, global environment.

You will play a critical role in supporting the Commercial and Investment Banking business. You will be engaged in supporting day‑to‑day business objectives, as well as shaping the strategic vision of the business. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and senior business leaders, manage critical deliverables in a fast‑paced environment, and contribute to the digital transformation agenda.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the Core Planning and Analysis activities such as budgeting, forecasting and senior management reviews for the CIB Central P&A team. The role requires extensive hands‑on experience running the budget and forecast process, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams across locations.

Maintain an executive presence and communication skills with the ability to interact and present to senior levels of the organization, multitask, prioritize and deliver under tight timelines.

Partner with all the CIB line of business P&A teams as well as the firm‑wide P&A team to own and manage end‑to‑end delivery of the CIB budget and forecast. Consolidate and analyze financial results and communicate to the CFOs and business heads in ways that allow for actionable insights that can impact business performance.

Collaborate with strategy, earnings and line of business P&A teams to deliver senior management and external presentations such as quarterly earnings, Investor Day, CIB townhalls and QBRs.

Enhance expense and headcount analysis and provide senior management with key themes and trends supporting strategic decision making. The role will also require leading efforts to monitor and govern expense and headcount tasks for each of the CIB businesses, understand areas of progress and risks, and report to CFOs.

Support monitoring of business performance through the existing performance framework, and collaborate with business lines and CFOs to continually enhance the framework to align with business objectives.

Partner with Finance Integration Office to align the management reporting model with changes to business hierarchies and the booking model.

Partner with CIB and firm‑wide infrastructure teams to support the digital transformation agenda.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

15+ years of experience in finance, accounting, business management or strategy.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint in particular).

Experience in consolidation, review, analysis and presentation of financials. Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables.

Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills.

Detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with frequently changing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure. Self‑starter driven to excel in all areas of the role and seeks to break the status‑quo and initiate improvements where necessary.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience in planning & analysis and financial services industry.
