Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
15+ years of FP&A and finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Scalable FP&A or strategic finance leadership at a high‑growth technology company.
Advanced analytics expertise, including data‑driven decision making and model development.
Knowledge of Google Cloud products.
Strong partnership skills with executive stakeholders to set analytical priorities and deliver actionable insights.
Proven ability to thrive in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced environment.
About the Job Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to U.S. public sector institutions, accelerating digital transformation across local, state, and federal agencies and educational institutions. As Senior Director, Finance and Planning for Google Cloud, you will build and lead a team responsible for the long‑term and annual planning, financial metrics reporting, and strategic finance initiatives—including M&A analysis, financial integration, and benchmarking—to drive business growth.
You will partner with Google Cloud and Google peers, develop resource allocation models, ensure alignment with business partners, and provide analytical tools to track and report on key performance indicators.
Compensation Base salary range: $304,000–$423,000 (U.S. full‑time). Compensation includes bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, and location.
Responsibilities
Lead forecasting, reporting, and annual/strategic planning for Google Cloud Public Sector.
Collaborate with Alphabet Corporate Finance to drive cross‑functional finance initiatives.
Work with finance and Cloud Public Sector leaders to develop and review business plans and support investment decisions.
Analyze financial and operational results, creating actionable recommendations for investment, sourcing, and cost optimization.
Conduct ad‑hoc analysis on revenue, margin trends, headcount, OPEX, and other operational metrics.
