Senior Manager, Development and Donor Experience
Impact Justice advances safety, justice, and opportunity through boundary‑breaking work that honors and empowers people and is changing expectations about what we can accomplish together.
Base pay range
– $100,000 – $105,000 per year.
Location
– DC Office.
What You Will Do
Donor Communication
– Draft and manage high‑quality cultivation emails, donor e‑newsletters, and fundraising campaign materials; improve donor thank‑you processes and maintain a growing library of external resources for supporters.
Donor Engagement and Stewardship
– Lead new event initiatives, including salons and prison visits; support a calendar of thoughtful donor engagement opportunities; conduct prospect research and build cultivation plans for individual and mid‑level/major donor tiers.
Systems and Infrastructure
– Oversee and improve key systems such as Bloomerang, the Mailchimp‑Bloomerang integration, and QGiv online giving pages; refine IJ’s digital donor journey.
Required Qualifications
Strong background in nonprofit fundraising with a proven track record of effective donor and institutional engagement.
Deep understanding of the donor lifecycle and experience writing engaging donor‑audience copy.
Direct experience managing donor and funder relationships and connecting with donors at events and meetings.
Familiarity with development CRMs and donor prospect research.
Meticulous attention to detail, positive solutions‑oriented approach, and strong project and people‑management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Event planning experience and wealth‑screening tools expertise.
Experience using Bloomerang and Mailchimp as CRM and email service tools.
Forward‑thinking attitude toward new technology adoption, including AI and emerging platforms.
