Software Engineer (focus on Web development) – SFCC / SFRA
Join Biogensys as a Software Engineer (Web development) – SFCC / SFRA (remote). You will design, develop, and maintain eCommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud using the Storefront Reference Architecture.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain SFRA storefront features (PLP, PDP, Cart, Checkout, Account).
Build reusable ISML templates, UI components, client‑side JavaScript, and CSS.
Implement and extend SFRA controllers, middleware, hooks, and custom cartridges.
Analyze functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Support global releases, multi‑site rollout, and localization/internationalization.
Optimize site performance, caching, and internal data models.
Integrate with third‑party services (search, analytics, recommendations, payments).
Ensure code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and linting standards.
Collaborate with QA for test planning, debugging, and Log Center issue resolution.
Develop and customize SFCC/SFRA‑based eCommerce solutions.
Implement new features, enhancements, and integrations with third‑party systems.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver responsive and optimized storefronts.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives).
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.
Optimize performance and scalability of SFCC applications.
Maintain documentation for code, configurations, and deployment processes.
Qualifications
5+ years of backend or full‑stack engineering, 3+ years of SFCC/SFRA API development.
Strong understanding of server‑side JavaScript, JSON schemas, and REST principles.
Expertise with OCAPI Shop/Data, Custom APIs, and SFRA server‑side architecture.
Experience building scalable integrations (OMS, payment gateways, taxes, search).
Strong skills in debugging using Log Center, service logs, and middleware tracing.
Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer (highly preferred).
Salesforce Platform Developer I (nice to have).
Common Skills & Tools
Languages & Frameworks: JavaScript (ES6+), ISML, SCSS, jQuery, Node.js build tools.
SFCC Skills: SFRA controllers, ISML, OCAPI, cartridge architecture, MVC, Business Manager configuration.
Platforms: SFCC Business Manager, SFCC B2C Commerce (SFRA storefront).
Tools: Postman, Git, BitBucket, Jira, Log Center.
Certifications: SFCC B2C Developer certificate (preferred).
Work Hours & Location
Remote (location: remote).
Candidate will work in EST or CST.

Visa type: USC, GC, H4-EADs.
Duration: 10‑11 months.
