We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain New Product Introductions (NPI) to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of supply chain operations for the Mobile Solutions Business (MSB) NPI Projects. This pivotal role can be based in Newbury Park or Irvine, CA and will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust Master Production Schedule (MPS) for sample support through the new product development process; aligned with the BU goals, ensuring supply meets demand, and driving operational excellence across multiple NPI projects at varying stages of maturity. The Director partners with cross-functional teams-including Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, and Factories-to deliver on-time results and optimize inventory. This position will also develop and maintain forecasting tools and align with the different MSB Eng Sites/Build labs capacity requirements, as well as lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance supply chain agility and visibility during NPI.

Responsibilities
NPI Planning & Execution : Lead planning, scheduling, and coordination of prototyping/sample demand for new products. Maintain a feasible supply plan and master schedule across multiple time horizons and aggregation levels.
Inventory Optimization : Develop and implement inventory policies and targets tied to planning methodologies through the new product development life cycle, tying in the maturity of the design. Analyze performance and trends to balance service, cost, and risk.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Production Control, Quality, and the internal factories to drive improvements and resolve supply gaps.
Risk & Resilience : Assess and mitigate supply chain risks through forecasting models for engineering / NPI
Supplier Management : Provide long‑term forecasts and capacity requirements to internal factories and suppliers.
Digital Transformation : Lead and participate in business process improvements and digital transformation projects to enhance supply chain efficiency for engineering/NPI.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth data analysis for inventory mgmt., capacity, and CT and present high‑level supply planning assessments, and recommend actions.
Communication: Proactively communicate supply vs. demand gaps, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders and senior management.
Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent years of experience) with 15 years of experience in supply chain planning, operations, or management, with at least 4 years in a semiconductor or high‑tech environment; Master’s or MBA preferred.
Proven leadership and management skills; ability to lead and motivate
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; hands‑on experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Experience with MRP, ERP, and advanced planning tools (SAP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, Adexa)
Expertise in manufacturing, planning processes, inventory analysis, and demand forecasting with specific focus on NPI
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a global, cross‑functional environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, resource‑constrained environment
Passion for digital transformation and leveraging technology to create supply chain value
Compensation and Benefits The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $143,000 - $286,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium‑free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
