Base Pay Range $78,500.00/yr – $192,500.00/yr
Responsibilities
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
Build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short‑ and long‑term sales performance.
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives, exceeding those objectives.
Create pre‑call plans using SMART objectives and execute post‑call evaluations to continually improve sales performance.
Handle objections and concerns, consistently gaining logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sales call.
Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements.
Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers.
Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product and clinical and sales expertise; share this market intelligence with the in‑field team, brand team, and sales manager for alignment.
Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with providers; identify, develop and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business‑related field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
At least five (5) years of experience in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, with at least three (3) years in a sales role; a high school diploma or GED is required.
In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge and recognition as an expert resource by stakeholders.
Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking, proficiency with business tools.
Proven track record of selling success, solid presentation skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to customer style and behavior.
Leadership experience and experience supporting increased responsibility at district, regional, or organizational levels.
English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
Ability to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain them.
Key Stakeholders
External: Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other brand plan stakeholders.
Internal: In‑field team members, sales management (DSM), marketing management, training, customer excellence and brand plan stakeholders.
Additional Information
Compensation includes base salary, short‑term incentive programs and long‑term incentive programs.
