Summary Serves as an Advanced Procedures staff physician in Gastroenterology.

Job Description

Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG GI practice

Supervises the care delivered by APCs in the PMG GI practice

Supervises and leads special clinical programs delivered by the MDs and/or APCs in the PMG GI practice. For example Hepatitis C program.

Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures

Participates in chart reviews and risk management reviews.

Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints.

Leads the development and implementation of standard clinical and service action plans

Creates an environment that motivates physicians and staff to provide excellent care and service to patients in order to enhance patient experience

Works with the leadership team including DPO, MSO, clinic manager and lab manager on the practices financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.

Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice

Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority

Supports the APC Medical Director

Performs other functions as required

Additional Job Description M.D./D.O. in clinical practice.

Current New Mexico License required.

Board certified in Gastroenterology.

Minimum ten (10) years practice experience in Gastroenterology.
