Responsibilities
Develop and Implement ML Models: Design and deploy machine learning algorithms and models to analyze and interpret complex medical data, contributing to the advancement of our medical devices.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and clinical experts to integrate machine learning solutions into existing and new medical device platforms.
Data Preprocessing and Analysis: Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to ensure the accuracy and quality required for training robust machine learning models.
Performance Optimization: Enhance the performance of machine learning models by tuning hyperparameters, selecting appropriate algorithms, and employing techniques to prevent overfitting.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the medical device industry to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of technological innovation.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all machine learning models and processes comply with relevant medical regulations and standards. Maintain thorough documentation for model development, validation, and deployment processes.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related Engineering field required
Master’s in computer science preferred
Minimum 2+ year’ experience
Qualification Requirements
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques and tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Comfort navigating ambiguity, and an ability to create in an undefined, unestablished environment.
Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
Must be highly collaborative and comfortable working with people in a matrixed environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional early morning or evening teleconference.
Remote with Ability to travel (domestic and international) (25%) required.
Works under general office environmental conditions.
Sits for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity working with computers, etc.
