Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for a Material Handler in Rockville, MD . The Material Handler will carry out the following departmental responsibilities: order fulfillment including picking, packing and shipping. This position requires the ability to pull and pack orders in a timely manner; stock all items in correct locations using the inventory management software. This position requires the ability to multi-task as well as follow standard operating procedures at all times.



Title: Material Handler 

Shift: Mon - Fri 7am-3:30

Pay: $21/hr

Duration: Contract to Perm




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving and Inspecting Materials
  • Unloading incoming shipments
  • verify quantities and check for damage.
  • Match items to purchase orders and delivery documents.
Inventory Management
  • Accurately record materials in inventory system
  • Tag and label items for identification
  • Assist with cycle counts and stock audits.
Material Movement
  • Transport materials to designated storage or production areas.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely.
  • Stage materials for production or shipping.
Order Picking and packing
  • Pull materials according to work orders or pick lists.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling and shipping with multiple carriers.
Safety and Compliance
  • Follow all safety protocols.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Complete shipping and receiving paperwork
  • Update ERP or warehouse management system.
  • Report discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
