Job Description

The Analyst, Data Analytics & Data Science position plays a key role in designing and implementing reporting tools such as metrics dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and strengthen operational controls across new and existing processes. This role also focuses on collecting and analyzing data to develop business cases and ROI assessments that identify and drive improvement opportunities throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational requests by defining technical requirements and developing SQL queries to deliver reports, metrics, and dashboards using Power BI
  • Design advanced Power BI reports and dashboards utilizing DAX and other advanced features
  • Support data cleansing, analytics workflows, and presentation of multiple analytics initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, as directed by management
  • Ensure clear understanding of business objectives and deliverables
  • Contribute to prioritization, estimation, and scoping of strategic initiatives
  • Document and analyze business and technical requirements thoroughly
  • Participate in collaborative problem-solving with business users and leadership
  • Support change management efforts and lead end-user training sessions
  • Partner with IT to resolve system issues and improve processes
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and issue resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience developing business or technology solutions
  • Exposure to R and Python, with a foundational understanding of machine learning concepts
  • Familiarity with data warehouse and business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI features
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries proficiently
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint)
  • UI/UX Exposure
  • Exposure to Databricks
  • Experience in the corporate retail sector is a plus
