Description Client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting and financial operations, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Receivable and financial reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting a Japan-based parent company, requiring Japanese bilingual reading comprehension to review financial documents, contracts, and correspondence. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a multinational corporate environment. Key Responsibilities Corporate Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage day-to-day corporate accounting functions including GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies
- Support audits, tax preparation, and external financial reviews
- Oversee full-cycle Accounts Receivable including invoicing, collections, cash application, and aging reports
- Monitor customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with internal teams to address billing and payment issues
- Improve AR processes to enhance cash flow and operational efficiency
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff (as applicable)
- Work closely with Operations, Sales, HR, and Executive Leadership
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
- Review and comprehend Japanese-language financial documents, contracts, and reports
- Support accounting communication involving the Japan-based parent company
- Ensure accuracy and consistency between U.S. and Japan financial documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong Accounts Receivable management experience
- Japanese bilingual reading comprehension required
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting practices
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
