A leading food manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to lead operations focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will coach and develop a high-performing production team, foster a culture that prioritizes food safety, and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a safety-first culture and oversee training systems for engagement and technical proficiency.
- Manage production to meet budget and EBIT targets; analyze variances and support capex planning.
- Monitor KPIs, communicate performance, and lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to identify and implement process improvements.
- Effectively manage a union workforce and maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure timely production of high-quality products and adherence to food safety plans.
- Share best practices with global production teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience in the food industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of processes such as evaporation, spray drying, and packaging.
- Familiarity with Kosher, FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMP standards.
- Experience in process optimization, change management, and union workforce leadership.
