2nd Shift Production Supervisor (Direct Hire)
Location: Racine, WI (On-site)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 base + bonus potential
Bonus: 6% target, up to 12% based on company performance
Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a new production line , ideal for someone who thrives in an autonomous setting and has a strong focus on operational excellence, people leadership, and continuous improvement .
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and safety
- Conduct performance evaluations and support training initiatives
Operational Excellence
- Oversee multiple manufacturing departments on the shop floor
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality using operational metrics
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency
Continuous Improvement
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve performance
- Support safety, quality, and productivity initiatives
Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with managers and peers to align on production goals
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and labor agreements
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to supervise 20+ employees
- Experience working in a union manufacturing environment
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
- Comfortable having difficult conversations and holding teams accountable
- Self-reliant leader who can operate with minimal oversight
