Manufacturing Project Manager

What Will You Do?

The Manufacturing Project Manager drives the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives across our manufacturing organization. This leadership role combines deep manufacturing expertise with proven project management capabilities to deliver outcomes that advance our business objectives and operational excellence.

As a key partner to executive leadership, operations, engineering, automation, and cross-functional teams, you will own the full project lifecycle—from charter development through successful implementation—while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, guidance, and support throughout all project phases
  • Partner with project sponsors and stakeholders to establish requirements, develop project charters, and define success criteria
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions to keep initiatives on track

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Facilitate collaboration across operations, engineering, automation, and business teams to ensure alignment and shared accountability
  • Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners through effective interpersonal and negotiation skills

Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Optimize resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects while meeting critical deadlines

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Apply project management methodologies, Lean Six Sigma principles, and manufacturing best practices to drive operational excellence
  • Conduct project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, schedules, budgets, reports, and deliverables
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving project management practices

Cultural Leadership

  • Demonstrate and promote the Company's Core and Growth Values in all interactions and decisions
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Experience

  • 5+ years leading high-level projects and cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or shop floor environment
  • Proven track record managing large-scale projects from initiation through successful closure

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Manufacturing & Technical Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, processes, and technology
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles and methodologies
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and manage scope effectively

Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic manufacturing environment requiring collaboration across shop floor operations, engineering teams, and corporate functions. The position demands flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
