JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Title: Product Assistant

Department: Business Operations


JOB PURPOSE


We are seeking a full-time Product Assistant responsible for planning, scheduling, implementing, and monitoring product activities, ensuring contract requirements, product specifications, and deadlines are met.


JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

  • Assists with setting and overseeing work assignments, schedules, and work quality of the manufacturing team.
  • Reviews contract specifications, drawings, sales orders, and other project documents to understand requirements.
  • Schedules and coordinates work with and of appropriate department staff so that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identifies, acquires, and ensures the availability of materials and supplies.
  • Drafts, develops, and implements cost-effective methods and procedures to ensure that production is within applicable standards.
  • Determine pricing for a product based on cost analysis and create pricing quotes based on research.
  • Review product design and suggest changes based on market research, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Organize and file documents critical for production, such as pricing estimates, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor/supplier contracts.
  • Identifies requirements for packaging and shipping.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED / PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Bachelors degree in business or related field.
  • Experience in related disciplines, including design drafting, production planning, or assembly work.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Bilingual (English/Chinese).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/HAZARDOUS WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $20.00 per hour
