To perform loading / unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers. Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer.
Loading / unloading truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
* Picking and moving from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times.
* Proper storing of all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location.
* Ensure all shipments are properly marked before storing / picking.
* Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
* Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse.
* Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.
* General maintenance of are surrounding warehouse.
* Process outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.
* Ability to operate Stand-up Reach Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and some sit-down forklift work.
* Must be able to build pallets and break down stock.
* Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse.
* Must know how to operate a Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Stand-up Reach Forklift.
* Ability to maintain orderly operation of warehouse.
1 year Fork Lift driving experience.
* High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
Language Skills Sets:
* Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Computer Skills:
* To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
* Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
* Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
* Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
