The firm is seeking a Estate Planning Attorney to lead the structuring and implementation of complex estate planning, wealth transfer, and business succession matters for ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices. This role serves as a technical authority, reviewing and designing sophisticated planning structures and advising on multi-generational strategies, governance considerations, and closely held business interests.
The attorney will work directly with principals and coordinate with internal and external counsel, accountants, and fiduciaries to deliver highly customized planning solutions aligned with long-term family objectives and legacy considerations.
Key Responsibilities Advise ultra-high-net-worth families on complex estate, gift, GST, and philanthropic planning Review and structure trusts, entity documents, and related planning instruments Integrate estate and succession planning with closely held business and family governance considerations Serve as a technical resource to internal teams and contribute to internal knowledge development Partner on business development initiatives, supporting execution and closing across existing client relationships and new business opportunities
Qualifications and Experience J.D. required; LL.M. in Taxation a plus 10+ years of sophisticated estate planning experience, including complex drafting Experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families and or family offices Ability to communicate complex planning concepts clearly
