The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. This individual will play a key role in managing tax compliance and planning for complex individual, trust, and entity structures. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to UHNW clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and review of individual, fiduciary, partnership, and foundation tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 709, 1120, 990-PF).
- Develop and implement innovative tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients.
- Advise on estate planning, wealth transfer, and investment structuring in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
- Oversee and mentor junior tax professionals, fostering growth and excellence within the team.
- Manage relationships with clients, external tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and proactive planning.
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master of Taxation or JD preferred.
- CPA certification required.
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including UHNW individual and family office clients.
- Expertise in trusts, estates, gift tax, and complex investment structures.
- Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
