About the Role The Chief People Officer (CPO) serves as a key member of our executive leadership team, responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive human resources strategy aligned with our mission and long‑term goals. This leader will oversee culture, talent acquisition, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR operations.

You’ll partner closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to ensure our people strategy supports a thriving, high‑performing organization.

What You’ll Lead

Champion and cultivate Topside’s corporate culture.

Serve as a strategic advisor on people‑related initiatives.

Oversee salary structures, job grades, and market competitiveness.

Administer benefits programs (health, life, disability, retirement, bonus plans).

Guide employees through benefit options and eligibility.

Talent Management

Lead recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.

Maintain accurate HR records and support job description development.

Training & Development

Direct compliance training and internal development programs.

Build training schedules that support employee growth and regulatory requirements.

HR Operations & Payroll

Oversee payroll systems and ensure accurate processing.

Manage salary adjustments, deductions, and system updates.

Compliance & Policy

Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC, and other regulations.

Maintain HR policies and procedures, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC requirements.

Oversee HR data management, reporting, and documentation.

Support organizational projects related to staffing and training priorities.

What You Bring

5–10 years of HR or management experience (credit union experience preferred).

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, or related field (graduate degree preferred).

Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.

Knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and credit union operations.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
