Who We Are Looking For We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Controller to join our Charles River Development (CRD) team. This critical leadership role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with GAAP and corporate policies, and provides strategic financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will combine technical accounting expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to influence across functions.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business financial information in compliance with State Street policies and GAAP.
Build cross‑department credibility, confidence, and collaboration with other functional areas.
Be a trusted accounting partner for the CRD leadership group and a key representative on all governance committees.
Manage and control the billing and revenue activities, transactions, and resources (people and process) of the Company.
Legal entity reporting working with both internal and external stakeholders, including SOX compliance requirements.
Maintain a strong internal control environment.
Monitor effectiveness of financial accounting required to maintain reporting requirements and identify potential improvements or issues.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
CPA accounting degree preferred, with a minimum of a BA/BS degree in accounting, or related degree.
Minimum of 15 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in a software company, plus 4+ years public accounting experience.
Thorough understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
Capability to act as an effective tactical and strategic thinker.
Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal communication, sense of urgency, and exceptional written skills.
Data‑driven and detail‑oriented, yet able to elevate to an upper level.
Experience with Oracle / Great Plains / Salesforce or other accounting systems.

Salary Range $110,000 – $188,750 Annual
