You'll join a dynamic group of 17 consultants in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. We welcome diverse sub-specialty interests and offer flexibility, including job-sharing options.

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is the first mainland NHS trust to provide community, mental health, and acute services. We are proud to have the highest GMC training score in the South West and are investing in new state-of-the-art facilities, including a Surgical and Critical Care Centre opening in Autumn 2025. Qualifications
Full GMC registration with licence to practise Entry on GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) Broad experience managing complex older patients Strong communication, leadership, and MDT collaboration skills Experience in teaching and supervision Interest in frailty, dementia, falls, or community geriatrics Evidence of service development or clinical leadership Experience in research, audit, or simulation-based teaching Disclosure and Barring Service Check
