The Officer Tatum Show seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Engineer (Technical Director)
to ensure flawless technical execution of our daily media productions. This role oversees all aspects of recording, livestreaming, and audio/video quality. The Engineer ensures every show runs smoothly while providing clean, organized assets for our editors and production team.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate cameras, microphones, lighting, and streaming software.
Monitor livestreams to guarantee broadcast-quality output with zero downtime.
Troubleshoot technical issues during live and recorded shows.
Maintain proper audio balance, video resolution, and lighting standards.
Record shows with redundant backup systems in place.
Deliver raw, labeled, and organized footage to editors after every show.
Generate transcripts of recordings for integration into Substack and research.
Maintain and update studio equipment, ensuring all systems are optimized.
Archive recordings in a clean, accessible digital library.
Qualifications
Proven experience in video production, audio engineering, or broadcast operations.
Proficiency with livestream platforms (TriCaster, vMix, OBS, or similar).
Strong knowledge of professional audio/video equipment and workflows.
Ability to solve technical issues quickly under live pressure.
Highly detail-oriented with a focus on professional production standards.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, politically engaged media environment.
Compensation
Salary Range:
$55,000 – $80,000 / year (based on experience).
Target Compensation:
year base + performance bonuses.
