Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor in the Federal Funding Account Last Mile Section, independently perform complex spatial and statistical analysis to support broadband planning in unserved and underserved regions.
Serve as a technical resource for regional project managers by deciphering broadband deployment maps, identifying existing infrastructure and gaps, and informing program priorities.
Prepare and submit calculations, reports, and visualizations that guide decision‑making for the Broadband Regional Initiatives Branch.
Special Requirements / Statement of Qualifications Applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) no shorter than 11‑point Arial font, single‑spaced, and no more than two pages. The SOQ must address the following three questions:
Describe your approach to organizing disparate geospatial data sources so they can be made available in either view or edit formats to multiple users across the agency.
Describe your experience with geospatial queries and analyses, your approach to ensuring repeatable and verifiable results, and how you can most effectively communicate the results.
