Adult & Family Medicine Virtual Care Physician
The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG) is seeking physicians who are board certified or board eligible by an American Specialty Board to provide virtual care in a variety of ways that may include, but not limited to, scheduled and unscheduled video visits, telephone visits, E‑visits, chat, and secure messages.
Locations:
Fully virtual/remote; applicants must reside in and be licensed to practice in California. Five years of post‑residency experience required. Additional licenses may be required in multiple other states.
Responsibilities
Provide virtual care across scheduled and unscheduled visits.
Handle shifts flexibly (1‑10 hour units) with 24/7 availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Deliver exceptional care experience and maintain excellent documentation and coding skills in the EMR.
Contribute to organizational quality goals on population health and adhere to evidence‑based care guidelines.
Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues and collaborate as a team player.
Use multiple messaging and communication systems including phone, text, secure messages, chat, Cortext, and Microsoft Teams.
Adapt to changing workflows and new technology tools.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible by an American Specialty Board in Adult and Family Medicine.
At least five years of post‑residency experience.
Valid California medical license; additional state licenses may be required.
Flexible schedule with 24/7 availability.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary range: $214,440 – $221,100.
