Job Summary
We are opening an X-ray Technologist I position and will consider applicants for higher levels based on skills and experience. We offer a $20,000 sign‑on bonus and a $6/hr premium on top of base pay. Location: Northeast Region – Wilkes‑Barre and surrounding areas. Job Duties
Ensure correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and documented while respecting confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety and applying ALARA principles. Prepare and/or administer medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality; verify archival storage and/or transfer of data and post‑processing if applicable. Educate and monitor students and other health care providers. Assist the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures. Perform diagnostic radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including those performed outside the Radiology Department (e.g., operating room, endoscopy, ICU). New graduates must obtain ARRT‑R registry within 6 months of hire. Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months. Education
Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Radiologic Technology (Required); Bachelor’s Degree‑Related Field of Study (Preferred). Experience
Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred). Certification(s) and License(s)
Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body. Purpose & Values
