Position Summary The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Illinois Eye and Ear (IEE) is seeking multiple junior/senior level faculty to join the Department in each of the following divisions: Comprehensive, Cornea, Retina, Glaucoma, Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus. The physicians will also have clinical opportunities at our satellite clinic, 55th and Pulaski (FFP), Millennium Park Eye Center (MPEC), as well as contractual agreements through our clinical and academic partners.
Responsibilities
Full‑time, tenure‑track positions will involve outpatient and inpatient clinical practice, medical student, resident and fellow education, and academic pursuits including clinical and or basic science research. There are opportunities for substantial research support and time. Faculty members will also be eligible to apply for the NEI K12/Independent Clinician Vision Scientist (ICVS) Development Program.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Board eligibility or certification in ophthalmology, post‑graduate fellowship training in a subspecialty is expected, and eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.
