Job Overview The Brand Sales Support Specialist, also known as a Vendor Paid Merchandise Selling Support Colleague, is a product expert who helps customers with product selection, ensures merchandise standards, and maintains sales floor presentations for the brand or vendor. You will support customer-readiness standards by delivering a memorable customer experience and maintaining a neat, clean, and organized shopping environment.
We’re looking for flexible team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment, can switch between multiple tasks, and can work nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You Will Do
Greet and connect with customers in a friendly and genuine way.
Recommend products by asking questions to identify customer needs and inspire purchases.
Maintain fitting rooms by promptly clearing brand-specific merchandise and returning items to the appropriate floor area.
Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms.
Drive and exceed department goals by executing Macy’s initiatives and actively driving business.
Communicate with vendors and managers for support on driving sales and event promotions.
Deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation, ensure accurate pricing, and process markdowns timely.
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
Skills You Will Need
Product Knowledge:
Good understanding of the products you are selling and ability to provide expert guidance based on customer preferences.
Communication:
Comfortable communicating with customers and peers.
Adaptability:
Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Continuous Learning:
Self‑driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends through Macy’s and vendor educational resources.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and across departments.
Who You Are
Flexible availability, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
Resourceful and eager to start a new venture; can adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
Comfortable handling electronic devices.
Must be able to:
Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
No education or experience required.
Essential Physical Requirements
Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Reaching, including above eye level.
Require close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions.
