Role:
Entegris is currently seeking a Research & Development Scientist II to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility. This position will provide support and expertise for gas purification technology and contribute to next‑generation technology development through hands‑on experimentation using state‑of‑the‑art gas‑phase analytical instrumentation and characterization tools.
What You’ll Do
Manage and execute defined research projects.
Communicate results through written reports and oral presentations.
Analyze and interpret test data, maintain documentation of test operation, and ensure data quality and integrity.
Work with Quality team to employ tools and techniques when developing test methods and product specifications.
Participate in site Continuous Improvement activities across safety, quality, and efficiency.
Review and author test reports, work instructions, and other technical documents as required.
Provide management with weekly progress updates.
Collaborate with and support other internal R&D and functional groups as needed.
Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
What We Seek
BS or MS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
2 years of lab experience using gas‑phase analytical equipment with equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to clearly communicate technical information and ideas to internal and external audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good recordkeeping (lab notebook, written test plans and reports).
What We Offer
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
