Our client, an architecture and planning firm, is looking for a licensed architect to join their team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Architect specializing in education projects with recent Division of the State Architect (DSA) experience. This is a fully onsite role based in Pasadena, CA. The position has been open for an extended period due to the difficulty in finding qualified candidates. The successful candidate must be highly proficient in Revit (non-negotiable), with CAD and Bluebeam experience preferred.

You are passionate about designing meaningful spaces, solving complex design challenges, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team. You have a strong track record with DSA projects in California and can work independently while supporting colleagues.
What You Will Bring:
5–8+ years of experience across all project phases, from programming through construction documents
Experience with K–12 (DSA), higher education, senior housing, and multi-family housing projects
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Recent professional experience working on projects in California
High proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Photoshop, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, Word, and Excel
Deadline-driven and detail-oriented approach to work
Required Experience:
Recent, hands‑on DSA experience is required—must have been working with DSA in the last several years.
Experience outside education is welcome, but DSA expertise is the priority. CA Architecture is Required.
