Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, part of the Pacific Northwest Division of CommonSpirit, is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to join our team in Federal Way, WA.

Position Overview We are a well-established and busy physician and midwife women's health group located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Our group consists of 5 OB/GYN physicians, 6 CNM’s and 2 APP’s, with support from MFM, urogynecologists and gynecologic oncologists. We provide evidence-based women's health care services to Federal Way and surrounding communities.

Schedule Schedule requirements include working seven (7) 24-hour onsite shifts per month. Duties include providing 24-hour onsite labor and delivery coverage, collaboration with CNMs and ER coverage for GYN emergencies/surgeries.

Duties Candidates must be hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated to providing superior patient care. Our group enjoys a mix of both gynecology and obstetrics – including high-risk obstetrics and gynecological surgeries. Typical case mix includes vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. There is also a midwife on call.

Hospital Overview St Francis Hospital is a 124 bed, Level III Trauma Center located in Federal Way, WA. It offers 24/7 in house anesthesia coverage and MFM support. St. Francis has a Level II Special Care Nursery capable of caring for infants as young as 32 weeks, with partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care if needed. The practice delivers approximately 140–160 deliveries per month. St. Francis has achieved Baby Friendly designation and recognition by the International Lactation Consultant Association for excellence in lactation care.

Requirements

MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible (must become BC within the first two years of employment)

2–4 years of practice experience as an OB/GYN required.

Washington State medical license required at time of employment

DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority

Current BLS for Health Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay Range $156.26 - $231.63 /hour
