Phlebotomist
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team, responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. This role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, their accurate entry into our computer system, preparation for analytical testing, and distribution to the appropriate analytical area. You will also perform specified analytical testing as assigned, ensuring adherence to the Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
- Enter specimens accurately into the company's computer system.
- Prepare samples for analytical testing or distribute them to the correct analytical area.
- Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
- Adhere to pre and post aspects of analytical testing procedures.
Essential Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in phlebotomy.
- Proficiency in blood draw and specimen processing.
- Ability to work with cancer patients and manage difficult draws.
- Strong team player.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- Experience with patient care and laboratory procedures is beneficial.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a doctor's office where you will draw blood from patients and work closely with medical assistants. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment encourages collaboration and offers opportunities for growth, with a career ladder available after six months, allowing for advancement and a potential increase in pay. The site is a small team of three individuals, promoting a close-knit working relationship.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
