Role Overview
The Senior eCommerce Product Manager is a strategic, user-obsessed, and detail-driven leader responsible for shaping and elevating the digital shopping experience. This role owns the vision, strategy, and execution for core aspects of our eCommerce platform, ensuring every interaction feels unmistakably STAUD.
Working closely with cross-functional partners across business stakeholders and external technology collaborators, this leader orchestrates the development and optimization of digital experiences that are both beautiful and high-performing. Through strong product intuition, data-driven rigor, and a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, they bring clarity, focus, and innovation to a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
This role is central to bridging customer needs with business priorities, guiding teams toward solutions that enhance the customer journey and drive meaningful, measurable results.
Essential Duties
Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and champion the vision, strategy, and roadmap for key components of the STAUD eCommerce experience.
- Translate customer insights, competitive learnings, and business goals into a cohesive and actionable product direction.
- Maintain a sharp understanding of the digital commerce landscape, anticipating shifts in technology, behavior, and best practices.
Experience Design & Execution
- Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional partners to bring high-impact features and enhancements to life.
- Develop clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable teams to deliver with excellence.
- Serve as the connective tissue between creative, technical, and operational teams to ensure digital experiences feel seamless and on-brand.
Customer Insight & Optimization
- Lead a structured approach to A/B testing, user research, and experimentation to inform decision-making and continuously refine the customer journey.
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities, validate concepts, and prioritize a dynamic, high-value product backlog.
- Advocate for the customer’s needs at every stage of product development.
Performance & Analytics
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across owned product areas, translating results into actionable insights.
- Communicate progress, learnings, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
- Balance customer experience with commercial impact, ensuring features deliver both delight and measurable value.
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert within the organization, providing clarity, context, and guidance on digital product priorities.
- Facilitate alignment across teams and partners, ensuring shared understanding and cohesive execution.
- Manage expectations and maintain open, transparent communication across the business.
Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, & Education
- 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on customer-facing eCommerce or DTC digital products.
- Hands-on experience within the Shopify ecosystem, with a strong understanding of platform capabilities, limitations, and integrations.
- Proven ability to own the full product lifecycle—from discovery to launch to iteration.
- Expertise in A/B testing, user research, and analytics, with experience using tools such as Loop, Shoplift and Google Analytics.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience guiding teams through sprint planning, execution, and retros.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external partners.
- A creative, innovative mindset with a passion for building digital experiences that feel elevated, intuitive, and deeply customer-centric.
- Comfort and adaptability in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and opportunities emerge quickly.
