Certified Nursing Assistant, ACE (Sutter Health) Join Sutter Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the ACE program.

Position Overview Performs routine patient care, support and services in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provides routine patient care, support and services within established standards of care, policies and procedures.

Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group and other healthcare providers.

Exercises sound judgment and develops clinical skills to support the patient’s plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner.

Adheres to all local, state and federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.

Prioritizes assignments and works within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Works independently and as part of the team to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Builds collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

BLS–Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

Demonstrated knowledge of basic patient care skills, clinic procedures, and equipment.

Knowledge of appropriate emergency care (e.g., chest compressions, dialing 911).

Ability to follow written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Written and verbal communication skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.

Well‑developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

General knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

Work independently and as part of the team, accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.

Shift Full Time, 32 weekly hours, 8 hour shift hours, variable days of the week, every other weekend.
