Location of Position MDH Western Maryland Hospital Center, Hagerstown MD
Main Purpose of Job The Chief Compliance Officer/Nursing Home Administrator works with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations as well as accreditation standards. This includes, but is not limited to, the implementation and enforcement of all provisions and regulations under the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR 10.07.01 and 10.07.02) as well as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and works with Senior Leadership and all levels of staff within the facility to provide interpretation and guidance to ensure compliance with all federal and State regulations as well as accreditation standards. The position also provides executive level oversight, direction and supervision of the facility's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Program and direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Department and the Medical Records Department. This position is considered Emergency Essential, may need to work alternate shifts to facilitate management and/or respond during emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
Five years of experience working in a health care setting, including three years of managerial or supervisory experience
Current license as a Nursing Home Administrator from the Maryland Board of Nursing Home Administrators
Desired or Preferred Qualifications
Experience in directing and coordinating activities of an agency program
Experience in establishing policy and procedures and overseeing implementation
Experience in applying and interpreting standards and regulations
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications Qualified candidates must possess a current Nursing Home Administrator license from the Maryland Board of Nursing Home Administrators. License number and expiration date should be included on the application and/or upload license to the application.
