Travel Surgical Technologist – CVOR – Boston, MA
This position is for a 13‑week travel assignment in Boston, MA, for a surgical technologist specializing in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures. The role requires expertise in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries, NBSTSA certification, and experience in complex surgical procedures. The technologist will work 40 hours per week, including weekend and on‑call shifts, supporting advanced surgical teams in a teaching hospital environment.

Hours:
40 hours per week | 10‑hour day shifts (07:00 AM – 05:30 PM)
Schedule:
4x10s (primary), Wednesdays 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, rotating 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekend/Call:
One weekend per month, plus Friday 7 PM – Monday 7 AM call (30 min response), and one 2‑hour CVI short call weekly
Requirements
CVOR CST
with NBSTSA certification
Cardiac surgery and/or cardiac transplant experience
Valve replacement experience required
Experience in open vascular/endovascular, thoracic, thoracic robotics, and general surgery
2+ years of related surgical tech experience
BLS certification (AHA)
Basic computer proficiency; able to navigate web‑based applications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a teaching hospital
Specialty area expertise in cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgery
Additional Information
Eligible to work holidays during the contract
Must be able to scrub cardiac, cardiac transplant, and/or endovascular procedures
