Senior Operations Manager – Battery Energy Storage Enclosure Fabrication and Integration
Join us as a Senior Operations Manager to lead strategic and operational oversight of battery energy storage enclosure fabrication and integration across multiple contract manufacturers. This permanent role is located at CM facilities and focuses on driving operational excellence, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Leadership: Provide high‑level direction and leadership for all operational activities at the CM facility.
Operational Oversight: Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Quality Assurance: Lead the development and implementation of robust quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Optimization: Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders—including program management, procurement, engineering, and quality teams—to align operational goals.
Performance Reporting: Deliver executive‑level reports and insights on production performance, quality metrics, and strategic initiatives.
KPI Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks and lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all operations.
Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop operations team members to build leadership capabilities and succession planning.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the battery energy storage or related industry.
Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills with a strong track record of operational excellence (especially on a shop floor).
Knowledge: Expertise in quality management systems, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and regulatory compliance.
Communication: Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience managing contract manufacturing relationships.
Deep understanding of battery energy storage systems and enclosure fabrication processes.
Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing Expert.
