Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst for a global medical device client in El Segundo, CA.
Contract | Hybrid | $50 - $60 per hour, depending on qualifications.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to serve as a trusted financial partner to our client’s Commercial organization. This highly visible role supports Sales and Marketing leaders, delivers financial insight, challenges assumptions, and influences decisions that drive growth, profitability, and accountability.
What You’ll Do
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy leaders to develop 5‑year plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts.
Own and manage business line P&Ls, including bookings, revenue, gross margin, OPEX, and profitability.
Deliver performance reviews, variance analysis, and KPI reporting to commercial leadership.
Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and scenario analyses.
Support governance processes, including business cases for headcount and investments.
Collaborate with Accounting and Central FP&A to ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment.
Drive continuous improvement in FP&A tools, processes, and reporting.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or finance business partnering (Sales and Marketing support strongly preferred).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills; Tableau preferred; SQL or VBA a plus.
Solid understanding of revenue, margin, and OPEX drivers.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence VP‑level stakeholders.
Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Medical device or healthcare technology experience.
Experience with SAP.
CPA, CFA, or similar certification.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
MBA preferred.
