Overnight Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician for their manufacturing plant in North Charleston, SC. This facility manufactures controlled-release fertilizer brands Osmocote, Agroblen, and Agrocote.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant in North Charleston, SC. Your expertise will help maintain our high standards of production and safety.

Charleston, SC Full-Time | Direct Hire Pay Rate: $27-37/hr, based on Experience Night Shift: 6pm-6am, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment for smooth plant operation.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electric motors (480V and below), instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, and mechanical systems.
• Use CMMS for scheduling and record-keeping (QAD EAM experience a plus).
• Follow safety protocols and collaborate effectively across teams.

Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance or a technical degree with 1+ year of experience.
• Proficient with technical documentation, electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation, automation, and mechanical equipment.
• Welding skills (arc/stick and MIG; stainless a plus).
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs., frequent walking/stair climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Experience with CMMS; strong written and verbal communication skills.
