Accounting Data Analyst

Hours & Pay
- Salary Range: $60,000$100,000 annually, based on experience
- Schedule: Standard business hours, with increased activity during the month-end close
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
What You'll Do
- Analyze accounting and financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks
- Support the month-end and year-end close through data validation and reconciliation
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and financial models for leadership review
- Reconcile large datasets across ERP and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Extract, clean, and transform data from accounting, payroll, and ERP platforms
- Support internal and external audits with detailed analysis and documentation
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation and process enhancements
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to define metrics and reporting needs
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 2+ years of data analysis experience within an accounting or finance environment
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Working knowledge of SQL or other data query tools
- Exposure to payroll, AP/AR, or general ledger data
- CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification
