Job Description Job Description Site Safety and Health Officer (Part-Time → Full-Time) Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania Compensation: Up to $35/hour (based on experience) - About Safety Development Group (SDG) Safety Development Group (SDG) is a leading provider of safety management, consulting, and training services across the U.S. We partner with clients like Hershey, Amazon, and The Korte Company to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient worksites. Position Overview We’re seeking a dedicated Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to support ongoing operations in Hershey, PA. This role begins part-time to assist with active project oversight, safety documentation, and daily site engagement, with a planned transition to full-time in March as new projects mobilize. You’ll work closely with project management and the SDG leadership team to implement and maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and client-specific requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily safety inspections and job hazard analyses. Lead site orientations and toolbox talks. Monitor compliance with all safety and health regulations. Complete and submit daily reports and safety documentation. Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Collaborate with site leadership to maintain a culture of safety and accountability. Qualifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (required). EM 385-1-1 24-Hour certification (preferred). CPR/First Aid certification (preferred). Minimum 3 years of construction or industrial safety experience. Strong communication and leadership skills.
