Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving production and processing methods and controls in manufacturing to achieve operational excellence. They recommend and implement operational sequences, equipment utilization and tooling improvements and efficiencies to ensure cost, quality and operational improvements. They assist in establishing work measurement standards and play an active role in ensuring quality, safety, and lean manufacturing systems and processes (SMED, Kaizen, 5S). The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and must build and maintain strong relationships with engineering, materials, operations, and quality, while communicating across all levels of the organization. Key Job Responsibilities Develop manufacturing processes using ERP software (Oracle). Assist in evaluating and developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Create or modify work-holding designs and equipment used for the production process. Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes. Comply with government regulations and manage environmental requirements. Assist setup personnel with process or tooling issues, recommending necessary fixturing and tooling for manufacturing. Analyze and solve process and tool‑related problems, ensuring or increasing productivity. Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment when necessary to support demand or improve productivity. Establish and update manufacturing standards (rates, BOMs, etc.). Ensure integrity of prints, bills of material, setup sheets, and routings. Perform all work in a manner that ensures safety of self and others. Support policies and procedures, including those governing the quality system as defined by ISO9001. Job Requirements Minimum 3-year experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field. Experience in implementing Lean tools. Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, train, and lead a positive team environment. Ability to analyze, solve, and implement solutions independently. Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel). Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam). Working knowledge of blueprint reading. Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, tooling, fixturing, and materials. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Education and Certification Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Travel Requirements Minimal travel up to 10%.
