Position Overview The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a full-time, board-certified/eligible family medicine physician with maternity and obstetrics experience to join our GME Program located in Columbus, Ohio. This successful candidate will be a core faculty member in the family medicine residency program, teaching medical students along with family medicine residents. We have two residency program sites with faculty who cover the family medicine run inpatient service at University Hospital East and prenatal and maternity care, including vaginal delivery, at the Wexner Medical Center. OSU offers competitive salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications.
Requirements
Successful completion from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school
Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in an acceptable specialty area
Completion of FM/Obstetrics fellowship is a plus but not a requirement
Eligible for State of Ohio medical license
Qualify for an academic appointment at the assistant, associate, or full professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
Experience (or equivalent education)
History of providing prenatal services, including obstetrical ultrasound in the outpatient setting
Ability to obtain hospital privileges for routine pregnancy care, including vaginal deliveries
Experience in coordinating resident maternity care curriculum
Active clinical participation in Family Medicine; preferable to have educational and clinical experience as a faculty member of a Family Medicine residency program prior to appointment
Devote sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill their supervisory and teaching responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents
