The ideal candidate will have completed a4 yearNeurology Residency and minimum 1 year Movement Disorder Fellowship.
The Movement Disorder Neurologist will help further the Movement Disorder program by accurately diagnosing movement disorders anddevelopcomprehensive management plans andincorporatevarious therapeutic options including medications, and injections.
The specialist will also be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team that assists with deep brain stimulation (DBS) implantation, working alongside Neurosurgeons to identify suitable patients, guide surgical planning, and handle post-operative care and programming of the device.The physician will perform pre-surgical evaluations, monitor patient progress, and fine-tune the DBS system's settings to manage symptoms effectively after the neurosurgery is completed.
