About Our Client

I'm working with a leading manufacturing company near Pleasant Prairie, WI, seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to support the Corporate Controller in managing key financial functions, including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, and manufacturing cost accounting. Responsibilities include month-end and year-end close, audit support, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role, strong manufacturing expertise, and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Job Description

Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead cost accounting efforts including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Collaborate closely with operations to analyze production costs and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial reporting systems.
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Contribute to strategic financial planning and cross-functional initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Deep expertise in cost accounting and inventory management within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong ERP and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
