Beaufort Memorial Hospital

About the Opportunity Beaufort Memorial is excited to expand its
Hospital Medicine program in-house
and is seeking
Board-Certified Hospitalist Physicians
to join our collaborative, patient-centered team. Hospitalists at Beaufort Memorial provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure seamless transitions throughout the inpatient stay and upon discharge.
Highlights include
Join a team of
Board-Certified Hospitalists and Advanced Practice Providers
12-hour shifts
(7A-7P or 7P-7A) with dedicated admitter shift 9a-9p
Average census: 18-20 patients
Manage
acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and complex medical cases
Diverse case mix
across a regional referral center
24/7 in-house support
from Anesthesia and Pediatric Hospitalists
Trauma surgery available on call
Access to a wide range of specialists: Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, General Surgery, and Vascular Surgery
Intensivist coverage in-house 7A-7P ; Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider covers ICU at night
ED physicians respond to
hospital airways and codes
1099 and Employed options available
Hospital-employed position offers an excellent benefits package that includes the SC State Pension plan, student loan repayment program, and an allowance for continuing education, licensure, and dues
Position Requirements
Broad knowledge of acute and chronic disease management
Ability to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans
Proficiency in hospital-based procedures consistent with hospitalist practice
Education & Training
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Licensure & Certification
Current, unrestricted
South Carolina medical license
(M.D. or D.O.)
Active
state and federal controlled substance licenses
Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
(Hospital Medicine experience preferred)
