Job Title: Locum Physician - Hospitalist - OB

Join a highly respected team at a prominent medical center in Fresno, California, providing essential in-house OB/GYN care in a dynamic hospital setting equipped with Level II and III NICU support.

  • Start in September, with 5-7 shifts per month.
  • Provide full-time in-house OB/GYN hospitalist coverage.
  • Care for both private and non-private patients.
  • Cover all areas of Postpartum, Antepartum, and Labor & Delivery.
  • Support from Level II and Level III NICUs and a 25+ bed ICU.
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system.
  • Call Ratio: 1:5.
  • Average 3 4 deliveries and patients per 24-hour shift.
  • Work in a collaborative and collegial environment.
  • Ideal for OB/GYNs seeking flexible scheduling and a meaningful role.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients in the postpartum, antepartum, and labor & delivery areas.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and residents.
  • Perform necessary follow-ups and patient rounds.
  • Assist in handling emergencies as they arise, including ER visits from private OB/GYNs.
  • Manage and oversee care for any private practice patients when required.
  • Record and maintain thorough documentation using the Epic EMR system.
  • Participate in a back-up call schedule in case of emergencies.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in OB/GYN - Required at time of submission
  • Active California License - Required at time of submission
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification - Required at time of submission
  • Minimum availability of 5 7 in-house shifts per month.
  • Comfortable rounding in Postpartum, Antepartum, and Labor & Delivery.
  • Experience working with Level II and Level III NICUs.
  • Clean background with no malpractice - Preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification in OB/GYN
  • Active California Medical License
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification
