Urgent Care Physician

Coverage Needed:

  • Full-Time: 12+ shifts per month
  • Part-Time: 10+ shifts per month
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday, 8 AM - 8 PM
  • Provider will travel between two sites within 30 miles

Clinical Details:

  • Typical urgent care cases: cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns
  • Procedures: Suturing, wound care, I&Ds, splinting, X-rays, EKGs, drawing blood, IVs
  • EMR: Epic
  • Support Staff: Medical assistants and rad techs onsite
  • Average patient volume: 3-4 patients per hour
  • Sites staffed with 1-3 providers per day; remote physician available for escalation
  • No on-call duties

Requirements:

  • Board Certified
    • If ABFM or ABIM then needs 2 years experience in EM or UC
    • If ABEM then needs 1 year of experience
  • DEA required
  • State Licensure: Pennsylvania
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages
  • Comfortable with orthopedic procedures and wound care
  • Minimum availability: 3 shifts per month consistently
  • NPDB self-query required
  • CSR License required
