- Other Details: A Pennsylvania facility is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist for full-time locum coverage starting June 2, 2025, for a 3-month contract. The physician will work 7 days a week, 8 AM 5 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch), initially splitting time between two hospitals until June 30, after which coverage will continue to one hospital through August. A census up to 20 shared with a Psych NP. Responsibilities include initial psych evaluations, daily rounding, and potential consults on the medical floor, detox unit, and ED. Physicians can expect up to 10 admissions and 10 discharges weekly per facility, with average patient stays of 5 7 days. A PA license, BLS certification, and DEA registration are required; a minimum of 1 2 years of experience is preferred. All hours are billable, with no call, block scheduling, or holiday exceptions.
