We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed oncology team in Chicago, IL . In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with various types of cancer, guiding them through treatment and recovery with empathy and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations.
  • Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and side effects, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and central line placements as needed.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families, addressing emotional and practical challenges associated with cancer care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Active NP license in the state of Illinois
  • 1 to 2 years of Oncology experience (preferred)
  • Active DEA
